The bearing assemblies of the rolling stock are important parts whose condition is directly influencing reliability and safety of train operation.
One of the main requirements to the wheel-motor units is provision of the set operational resource. The bearing assemblies are crucial elements which limit the resource in general and depend on the vibration condition, manufacturing quality, repair and assembly.
Taking into account an increasing intensity of the motion and worn-out state of depots it is necessary to use all types of static and dynamic monitoring of bearing assemblies state at the train’s WMU.
For an adequate assessment of the bearing assemblies state one need to know the influence of various factors on the vibration level.
The work is aimed at finding the dependence of vibration parameters of rolling bearings on the size of defect and frequency of shaft rotation, for their diagnosing.
