COMPACS® computer health monitoring systems have been successfully operated at "Angarsk Petrochemical Company" JSC since 1995.
Currently COMPACS® systems monitor more than 550 static and rotating equipment units at the refinery, and stand systems, mounted in a mechanical repair shop № 20, allow to control quality and diagnose pumps and electric motors within and after repair and to carry out rolling bearings acceptance tests.
Due to diagnostic means and automatic expert system for decision-making support, COMPACS® allows the maintenance personnel to carry out repairs efficiently and purposefully. Operation according to the equipment actual health has become possible, and, consequently, a number of the units emergency breakdowns has significantly decreased. The amount and complexity of repairs has reduced as well, and overhauls and midlife repairs have been replaced with current repairs with a simultaneous increase of the unit run-to-failure.
All this leads to decrease of material and labour costs, required for providing the equipment operable state, as well as to reduction of the processing units downtimes due to the equipment sudden failures.
